Applying for a Loan

Questions about starting, submitting, and reviewing an application.

How do I apply for a loan?

Choose Personal Loans or Business Loans, review the product information, and select Apply. The online application will ask for information relevant to the type of financing requested. After submission, your application can be tracked through your secure account.

Does submitting an application guarantee approval?

No. Every application is subject to eligibility requirements, verification, underwriting, supporting documentation where required, and lender approval.

How is my loan amount determined?

The amount approved may depend on factors such as income or business cash flow, existing obligations, requested loan purpose, repayment capacity, credit information where applicable, and other underwriting criteria permitted by law. You may be approved for an amount different from the amount requested.

Can I check the status of my application?

Yes. Once your online account is activated, you can log in to view the current application stage, outstanding document requests, and available updates.

Can I change my requested loan amount after applying?

You may be able to request a change before the loan is finalized. Any revised amount remains subject to lender review and may affect pricing, terms, or documentation requirements.

Can I cancel my application?

You may withdraw an application before entering into a final loan agreement. If loan documents have already been signed, any cancellation rights depend on the applicable agreement and law.

How long does the application process take?

Timing depends on the type and size of the request, the completeness of the application, and whether additional documentation or verification is required. Larger business requests typically require more review than smaller personal or business applications.

Will applying affect my credit score?

That depends on the lender's credit-check process. If a consumer report or hard credit inquiry is required, the applicant should receive the appropriate authorization and disclosure before it occurs. The final website should state the lender's actual process clearly.

Rates, APR & Fees

Understanding borrowing costs and website estimates.

What is the difference between an interest rate and APR?

The interest rate is the rate charged on the outstanding principal. APR is a broader measure of the cost of consumer credit and may include certain finance charges or fees in addition to interest.

Are the rates shown in the calculator guaranteed?

No. Calculator APRs and payments are illustrative estimates only. Final rates, APRs, fees, loan amounts, and terms are determined after lender review.

Can there be an origination fee?

Depending on the final product and applicable law, a loan may include an origination or similar finance charge. Any fee applicable to an approved loan should be disclosed before the borrower becomes contractually obligated.

Are there late-payment or returned-payment fees?

Any such fee depends on the final loan agreement and applicable state law. The borrower should review the final agreement and disclosures for the fees that apply to the specific loan.

Can I repay a loan early?

Early repayment terms depend on the final loan agreement and applicable law. Any prepayment charge or restriction, if permitted and applicable, should be disclosed in the loan documents.

Documents & Verification

Uploading and managing information requested for an application.

How do I upload documents?

Log in to your Northridge Lending account and open the application. If documents have been requested, the account will show the requested items and provide a secure upload option. Upload documents through the account rather than ordinary email unless specifically instructed otherwise.

What documents might be requested for a personal loan?

Depending on the application, the lender may request proof of identity, address, income, employment, bank statements, or other information relevant to verification and underwriting.

What documents might be requested for a business loan?

Business applications may require business registration records, ownership information, bank statements, tax records, profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets, revenue information, or other financial documents depending on the amount and purpose of the request.

How will I know if more documents are required?

Your online account should display outstanding document requests and application requirements. Notifications may also be sent using the contact information associated with the application.

Can I replace a document I uploaded?

If the lender has not completed the review, the account may allow a replacement upload or may show that a new version has been requested. The final system should preserve the appropriate document history for compliance and audit purposes.

Online Account & Login

Accessing your application and loan information.

When can I create an online account?

Applicants should be able to activate an account after starting or submitting an application. Existing borrowers can continue using the same secure account to access available loan information and documents.

What can I see in my account?

Depending on the stage of the application or loan, the account may show application status, requested documents, uploaded files, lender messages or notices, available loan documents, account information, and payment information where applicable.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Use the Forgot Password link on the login page. A password reset link or verification step should be sent using the account's verified contact information.

Why am I being asked for a verification code?

Multi-factor authentication may be used to help protect sensitive application and account information. You may be asked to verify your identity when logging in, changing security settings, or accessing certain information.

Can I update my contact information online?

Applicants and borrowers should be able to update permitted profile information through their account. Certain changes may require additional verification.

Where can I find my loan documents?

Once documents are available, they should appear in the Documents section of the secure account. This may include disclosures, agreements, notices, or other records related to the application or loan.

Payments & Loan Management

Information for borrowers after a loan has been finalized.

How do I make a loan payment?

If online servicing is enabled for the final product, borrowers can log in to view available payment methods and instructions. The final website should reflect the lender's actual payment provider and supported methods.

Can I set up automatic payments?

If autopay is offered, borrowers should be able to enroll through their secure account or according to the instructions provided with the loan. Any authorization should clearly state the amount or method used to determine the amount, timing, and cancellation process.

Where can I find my balance and payment information?

Borrowers should be able to view current account information through the secure login once servicing features are enabled, subject to the lender's final system design.

How do I request a payoff amount?

If payoff functionality is supported online, borrowers can request or view a payoff figure through their account. Otherwise, the lender should provide a clear contact method for obtaining an accurate payoff quote.

What should I do if I cannot make a payment?

Contact the lender as soon as possible using the contact information provided with the loan. Available options, if any, depend on the loan agreement, account status, and applicable law.

What happens if I miss a payment?

Consequences may include late fees where permitted, delinquency, collection activity, or credit reporting depending on the final loan terms and applicable law. The loan agreement controls the specific consequences.

Personal Loans

Common questions about personal financing.

How much can I request for a personal loan?

The current website concept allows personal loan requests up to $500,000. The maximum request amount is not a guarantee that an applicant will qualify for that amount.

What can a personal loan be used for?

Common uses may include debt consolidation, home improvements, major purchases, and other eligible personal expenses. Final permitted uses should be confirmed by the lender.

What should I consider before accepting a personal loan?

Review the approved amount, APR, fees, monthly payment, repayment term, and total repayment. Consider whether the payment fits comfortably within your existing budget and obligations.

Business Loans

Business-specific financing questions.

How much business financing can I request?

Business loan requests may be submitted up to $2,000,000, subject to the lender's eligibility requirements, underwriting, and approval.

Why can I only calculate business loans up to $2,000,000 online?

Larger business requests can involve different repayment structures, documentation, financial analysis, and individually determined pricing. Requests above $2,000,000 are therefore handled as larger financing enquiries rather than automatic calculator estimates.

What can business funding be used for?

Common qualified purposes may include working capital, equipment, inventory, expansion, acquisitions, property-related business needs, and other legitimate commercial uses.

What does the lender review for a business loan?

The review may include business revenue and cash flow, time in business, existing debt, ownership, requested use of funds, bank activity, supporting financial statements, and other underwriting information.

Can a new business apply?

Eligibility for newer businesses depends on the lender's final underwriting policy. The live FAQ should state any minimum time-in-business or revenue requirement once the client confirms it.

Security & Privacy

Protecting application and account information.

How is my information protected?

The production system should use access controls, encrypted connections, restricted administrative permissions, secure document storage, and other safeguards appropriate for sensitive lending information.

Should I send sensitive documents by email?

Use the secure document upload area in your Northridge Lending account whenever possible. Do not send highly sensitive financial or identity documents through ordinary email unless the lender specifically provides an approved secure process.

What should I do if I receive a suspicious message claiming to be Northridge Lending?

Do not provide passwords, verification codes, banking credentials, or other sensitive information. Contact Northridge Lending using the contact details published on the official website to verify the communication.

Will Northridge Lending ask for my account password?

No legitimate support process should require you to disclose the password used to access your Northridge Lending account. Never share your password or multi-factor authentication code with another person.
